Artists around the world interpret the most destructive computer viruses in their own style.
They steal our files, corrupt our hard drives and destroy our lives. We scan. We block. Do everything we can to prevent infection. Computer viruses. We hate 'em. Nevertheless, we remain fascinated by their evil plots. This fascination led to a new kind of art collection — Computer Virus Catalog.
Computer Virus Catalog is an illustrated guide to the worst viruses in computer history. We invited over 20 artists from around the world to interpret a virus in their own unique style. Each virus is accompanied by a short paragraph summarizing its evil plot.
The fascinating stories behind the viruses helped shape the artists’ interpretations. For instance, the disastrous Melissa virus is named after the author’s favorite exotic dancer, while the Kenzero Trojan makes a user's entire web history public and then demands a blackmail fee for its removal.
